I have no clue what the name of it is but there was a truck around here that just sold that was the same color! I love it. It almost looks like House of Kolor's Burgundy or Brandywine.
Thats a bunch of good lookin rigs! What are your plans with the 79?
just some redneck body work on it to fix the rust wholes in the bed, probaby gonna try some type of expanda foam (the great stuff) and then shave it and bondo over it then throw a coat of paint over the whole thing probably gonna just go with a neutral color like gray or white cause im not gonna really touch the interior. i just want it to look decent from the outside
then im just gonna drive it for a year or so as a daily i live 15 min from work on gravel and dont feel like taking the mustang everywhere and since i farm i dont wanna have to get into after working all day and being nasty/dirty, also the truck will get used alot in winter since the mustang sucks in the snow. other than that it will probably just be a dont care truck, no plans to restore it as of now and plan on getting another truck in a couple years like a superduty diesel.
These trucks are amazing. Timeless comes to mind. For me this thread was all about the paint schemes, I will hopefully have new paint on mine sometime within the next year. Almost didn't make it past page 19 because some clown slid in a chebby. A couple stuck out. There's a brown 250 on page 5 in San Carlos, author tabbed rare sighting. Can anyone guess a year on that rig? And a similar red 250 on page 30 I think. Both look similar to mine, and I think both are Highboy's, but I could be wrong. But they're all sweet. I still see dents all the time in Montana, but they're fewer these days. And I'm not a big fan posting other people's property online. But great thread, I should have some images up soon on mine when I get her rolling. Hopefully sooner than later.
