Leak location ?

Hey all,
Still new to this 6.4, and learning how complex it is compared to my old 7.3.

I have a pretty good drip coming from my truck, and cannot figure out exactly what is leaking. I have a pic, but it is hard to see exactly where it is from. Here goes.

I initially thought it was the drivers side, lower radiator hose at the top connection. I even bought one yesterday. Today, just before pulling it, I noticed a small drip from above it, and realized it is dripping from a smaller looking line or connection, going into either the head or the block, right above the radiator hose. The degas bottle is draining from this, and there are two stainless steel lines running up and through, just under this connection. Looks like a gasket has let loose. Feel like an idiot not knowing what I am looking at, and it looks like it is piped straight in, not flanged.

I have a Spartan tuner on board running the 275 DPF delete. Not sure the EGR delete is for me, and I am not sure this leak is not from part of that.

Sorry for the lack of tech info, I am certainly not a mechanic, but more than anything, I just cant see under this thing!

Thanks,
Dig

I had the exact same situation about a month ago. For me (may be different), it was a turbo seal (similar to the "upper" leak you mention) that was leaking oil down the back of the block, and the upper connection on the lower radiator hose as you mentioned. Both are common problems I'm told, due to the product not your tuner or EGR delete. A ford tech told me the seals around some of the turbo piping get dry and brittle prematurely and have needed to be replaced on many of these trucks. Same with the lower radiator hose, which Ford now recommends be replaced with a new hose and 2 clamps instead of just one. Hope this helps and is applicable.

Stainless steel anything coolant related I believe is the fuel coolant system. Like Senix says we're just guessing without pics.

One thing is sure, in my opinion....no leak developed from your Spartan or DPF delete. The leaks I have experienced would have developed with or without running the Spartan tunes.

Oh yeah, I dont blame the tuner at all. Just frustrating not knowing exactly what I am looking at, and am working on a picture that actually shows it. It is almost 4.5" directly towards the passenger side from the bottom of the EGR cooler, but I understand the confusion.

Also trying to educate myself on a EGR removal kit. No problems with the truck now, but does removing it make any work easier on the motor? I know there are some things that I cannot do easily, but things like this look like they would be a whole lot easier with all that crap out of the way.

Does anyone know, does the fuel coolant system use the same color coolant the others do? This coming out is green, but I cannot know for sure that the previous owner didnt refill with it.

These trucks frustrate the HECK out of me. Little by little, from the internet and asking other people, I have got a pretty good picture of what all that crap under the hood actually is. But at first, man, especially after owning gas trucks, I felt like I was driving a spaceship of some sort. It is hard to locate a leak location with all that piping that's for sure. I'm pretty sure it's the same type of coolant used on all the systems.
