Gassers get the full workover here, including emissions, diesel's just get the tires kicked and the lights and brakes checked, and for somereason they are really **** about wiper blades. We get about 5 inches of rain annually here, but if you have an eighth of an inch of blade missing they make you replace the blade.
We have to have a full inspection once a year here. Tires, brakes, steering components, exhaust, rust, lights, horn, etc.....they don't do any emission test, but most places (unless you know someone) will put your truck on a lift, pull the wheels and give it a good once over.

That's the way they do it here, a full inspection plus emissions test for gassers but diesels are exempt from emissions.
When I was in Az I had to go through emissions every year with a diesel, gassers went every 2 years and there was no other inspection for any vehicle unless is was being registered from out of state.
Very nice! I want to hear a drive by on the passenger side to hear the thing spool up and how much it "crackles". I want a nice deep tone, a good solid whistle and no crackle. That 5" might be just the ticket! I assume with the exit in the stock location you had to forfeit the ability to have the spare in the original position?
