Does anyone elses gas gauge just randomly drop from where it was the last time you drove your truck? This morning i drove to school... 35 miles, right on Full.. 7 hours later, go to leave school, 35 miles, just a hair above 3/4 and it does this all the time!! I also have a locking gas cap and i highly doubt anyone at my school would be capable of overriding that
Anyone elses gas gauge just go down when its parked?
Yes my gas gauge does something similar. It seems to move around quite a bit. I really never know where I'm at with gas unless empty or plumb full. I maybe it just reacts slow to hills, filling up, stop and go driving. Any insight would be great.

Yep, but it evens out for me after half tank, seems to stay there forever, but not long enough, if you know what I mean.
Mine does the same thing... and each 1/4 of the tank last different amounts of time. Usually the 2nd 1/4 (starting from full) lasts the longest, with the 3rd coming next, then 1st and the last quarter is like 20 miles...
i have had my reserve light come on twice. both times as i was filling it i i found out it still had 9 gallons og gas still in it. i can fill up drive the 11 miles home, park overnight and on my startup for work show 3/4 tank of gas. dependable truck

Haha, when that happened to me first time I was freaking out, I figured I had about 2 gallons left at 10 miles per gallon and I was about 30 miles from the nearest gas station, got there filled up only took about 21 gallons in a 29 gallon tank, whew!
10 miles to the gallon is what i normally get. if my wife drives it is a lot worse. she is used to driving her hyundai, so when she drives my truck it is either all on the gas or the brake. kills the mileage
my gauge can go 1/4 inch BELOW the red and i still have fuel....never ran out but that is close as i have come...i went about 50 miles after the gas light

LOL, drive your wife's car, I just drove my wife's trailblazer tonight, pulled out in traffic, wasn't dangerous, but I floored it to get up to 55 about 1 mile later I was at 55, same scenario with my v-10 about 2500rpm for 3 seconds, haha, that's why I don't do it unless I need it, but I can understand why my wife would love the POWER, let her have fun what's a tankful of gas now and then, LOL
