7.3 died while driving
02 f350 7.3 w/ dp tuner.
Just died while driving with no warning, won't re-fire. First thought tuner went out, but disconnected and still nothing. All dumby lights are on. Next thoughts are camshaft position sensor or dead ecm. I know this is now a lot to go on, just wondered if there are any ideas to go with before towing to mechanic/dealer.
Thanks in advance

That happened to me a month ago. I always start troubleshooting with checking the fuel in the bowl and it was dry. I poked around the engine, shake the fuel pump under the cabin and on turning on the ignition the fuel filled up the bowl. Dry high pressure fuel line don't prime easy, so I finally used starting fluid. I made over 2000 miles since the incident and still scratch my head what was it. Think loosed plug at the pump.
For CPS troubleshooting, observe tachometer while cranking. If it is moving, than CPS sends signal. Not full diagnosis, but gives you some indication.

Do u have a wait to start light when u turn the key on? If not, it could have blown the fuse for the fuel bowl heater. I do not know what number for a 2002. But check them all including the maxi fuses of that is the case. If your find one blown, unplug the fuel heater and replace it. That is if you are missing the wts light.
