Whirring Noise
Have 30k on 2011 FWD EXT CAB and have had a whirring noise from right front wheel (I think) since I got it. It occurs at less than 7 MPH and will stop if I touch brake or turn wheel. Seems to get louder the longer it is driven (heat related?). Have taken to dealer 5 separate times and nothing ever done because they were unable to duplicate, possibly due to it cooling down before they actually get it into the shop. Went to dealer today and drove in parking lot so mechanic could hear it, and he seemed to think it was rotor related. Went to make appointment for repair and was told that when I drop it off Friday that he will not be the one working on it, so back to square one....if they don't hear it Friday, nothing gets done...again. I tend to agree with the mechanic that something in the rotor is off, as it is a "whir", not a break squeak. Any insight or suggestions?
