Leaving Thursday morning in my 64 f250 4x4 desert bound. 111 miles on the highway then 12 miles offroad to get to the spot, changed the oil, checked all diff and trans oil, checked the radiator and brakes, went through the hubs, checked tire pressure... Ready to roll. I have all extra fluids and oil, highlift Jack, tools, straps, let's hope I don't need anything i forgot lol!
Yes they work out there, ill be out with about 15 friends and 3 of us are caravaning, ill have 10 gallons of water on the truck, its never ran past 170 deg and its not going to be hot. I'm not to worried about a mechanical issue, I'm more eager to see what the actual mpg is lol.

To hell with the truck! I was thinking of you out there in the desert dying of thirst if the truck broke down, cuz it's a looong hike back to civilization.
You didn't mention others would be there too, but the same scenario could apply to them.
News Flash! 16 people rescued from remote desert location! Film at 11.
I'm sounding surprized because of the hills I took it up lol, wasn't taking it to easy either. I strapped an ice chest in the back on one ride and when I came back to camp it was upside down still strapped in with all the drinks still inside lol!
