all the trucks are registered, insured..ect trust me it sucks when 2 of them are due for registration in a month. insurance isnt too bad about $380 for all 4.
hell the excursion(8mpg), expedition(11mpg) and f-250(mr plw) all have personal plates! i have not thought of a personal plate fitting enough for this one yet.
To him it is! No different that adding custom wheels. A lot of times custom wheels add zero benefit in performance, but are added because the owner likes the look. Same thing.
i want it, so yes its worth it to me. would it be worth it to anyone else? i'm betting no. most people are happy with 1 car/truck...i cant do that! once i have some bills taken care of i'm going to be looking for a f-150 super crew too some people have drug addictions, sex addictions, hoarding(which i may not be far off)..ect ect but having all the trucks i want is mine. i still have a list of what i want. includes a few Lincolns and more fords of course time to become a millionaire!
I look forward to the day that the Excursion and Cruze are in the garage together, so if I decide one nice summer day that I want to take the Excursion to work, I can. Hopefully that day will let me roll some coal too...
you gotta get your swap going if your gonna do that!!!
it is nice not worrying if you'll have transportation...ever! LOL i have a back up..for the back up...for the back up redundancy at its finest lol
the explorer got 73 miles put on it today, when it snowed about 5" but she stayed pretty clean. i was able to get some pics with the new DSLR tonight. makes it look much better then it is! but i talked to my paint guy about painting the door and some other stuff to help clean her up alittle.
oh and filling the front diff did help the whine alittle bit. but i'll be swapping axles sooner then expected i think. the truck will not need to be driven for 2 weeks after feb 20th so i'm going to jump all over it.
I do. I gotta finish paying it off first, and I've gotten too consumed in this damn boat restoration lately. The acronym for BOAT is becoming much too true...
well the chapter of this explorer is almost over, i'm selling it to a co-worker next friday. he has a family and his transportation is gone so he needed something right now. it helps him out alot and i'm not really making any money on the deal but i'm not loosing. this truck was just never going to do what i needed it to do, never going to be what i wanted it to be.
so all that said, i stripped all the parts off it i wanted to keep. brush guard, 99 bumper, diamond headlights/HIDs, sport rear tow hook, my 31" tires. and the ford rear mud flaps.
she looks kinda sad now, but shes served me well the last year...almost 10,000 miles and never letting us down. i hope it continues to be a reliable form of transportation for the new owner.
my expedition, my dads explorer and mine.
now i wanted to do the mature thing and pay off all my debt and hold off on another explorer. i had something fall into my lap that if i can swing it will be SWEET! i need to think it through alot before doing it but i cant not have a running driving explorer.
yes i will agree its ugly but its good reliable transportation. never once didnt start, was always ready to go at a moments notice. change the oil and put gas it in.
i will get another explorer or mountaineer, i'm really thinking about going opposet with the new one and lower it 1-2" and put some 17/18s on it...the thoughts are making my head spin. just gotta be able to afford the new one lol
the one i'm drooling over right now i'm going to try and afford if i can only has 45k miles on it! i have my fingers crossed that i can pull it off.
