friend just picked up a 1961 IH Scout, and it had some oddball wheels on it. He's trying to ID this one, a skinny 16":

Looks a lot like some old Jeep wheels I have.....16x4.5 and no provision for a hubcap.

Probably that's exactly what it is. The book shows that IHC Scouts and Jeeps shared the same 16" x 4.5" wheels having 5 lug x 5.5" pattern. K-H #31394 or Motor Wheel Corporation #33833. Can't say why they weren't, or couldn't be, used on Fords. Stu

A pic of one of the Jeep wheels.....looks kinda similar, but the one above almost looks like it has more offset? Kinda hard to tell...

What gets me is the long protrusion at the top of the wheel as pictured (4 of them altogether). It very well could be an early scout wheel, as 16" was an option in the early days..... I've just never seen one.

And scout wheel will fit a Ford, just not the other way around for certain Ford wheels, as the center hub hole isn't quite big enough for the IH dana hub.

The Scout wheel is shown having about 3/4" of positive offset which is pretty much normal for singles. The two pictured are slightly different. Might be that one is the K-H, the other the M-W. Stu
