Running Lights Power Source... HELP

Ok, I have my new mirrors installed.... I have the power adjustment hooked up/working, blinkers working, heat working.

I can't for the life of me find the "Dark Brown" wire that is supposed to be the running lights power source.

Anyone? I'd really like to get this project wrapped up so I can drive my damn truck.

I have tried 3 so far, the one in the light switch, and 2 on the main harness to the left of the brake petal. (Both had stripes tho.)

I don't remember if it has a stripe or not. I tied into the running light wire behind the headlight switch. Just pull the switch out and tap into it from there.

Worst case, run it back to the trailer plug wiring and find the brown wire there.

Any idea which one it is?

I did behind the headlamp switch as well, seems like it does have a black stripe. I'll check the diagram.

Also went behind the light switch. Tight fit but it might be easier to crimp if you take the dash panel off.

I think the mirrors are f***ed up. I don't know how tho. Both wires were soldered, all the wires were ran together. (Each side.)

Everything works but the mirror running lights. The brown wire in the switch IS putting out 11.8 volts. So I don't think it's a source issue. I just don't understand how BOTH could be not working. FML.

What mirrors did you get - oem or aftermarket? I want to upgrade to the heated & lighted mirrors.

Aftermarket. KoolVue. Heard nothing but good things about them.

Yeah, well, good for you I guess. I wanted heated mirrors with the blinker/running lights.

I got them here: Discount Auto Mirrors - kool vue mirrors - Kool Vue Mirror

I want to say after shipping it was $250ish. If I could get the damn running lights working I would say 100% worth it. But the fact that I can't get the damn running lights working really has me T'd off.
