Need HELP!

I have a '05 6 cylinder that has 98k miles and has been sitting for 6 months. Replaced battery, checked all fluids, filled it up with high test and gas treatment and it ran fine for 100 miles or so and all of a sudden, no power, no acceleration, backfiring, etc., but runs pretty good at idle. I am not a mechanic but have DIY capabilities...where should I start? Please help, I have to get this truck up and running and just don't have the money for a mechanic/dealer right now. Thanks in advance for all replies.

Change the fuel filter and check fuel pressure to make sure pump isn't failing.

Buddy you have to give people more then 12 hours to get on as we are not usually on much during Sunday nights.

Anyway the fuel filter would be a good place to start as it is most likely clogged now after the initial miles you ran.

Redding, sometimes responses take a little bit of time. Please be patient.

Here's another bump to the top for ya.

Add your choice of fuel additives to help it after changing the filter and fuel pump PSI tests. Double check all our vacuum hoses for off/damaged/split ends. Including the PCV system. Check to make sure your intake manifold is good to go, it may be leaking.
