Need a tune up
Hey guys, my truck is ready for tune up. This is my first carbed engine, so I would like some advice on what to do.
So far I have replaced the fuel filter, air filter and PCV valve. I still need to change the plugs, wires and distributor cap. I also need to have the carb adjusted and the timing checked to make sure it is all good.
I was thinking of going with either motorcraft or Autolite plugs? But what about the cap and wires? Ford stuff? Or MSD?
My biggest concern is that the engine has had some work done to it. Do I need to have the timing checked and the carb adjusted by someone that does performance work? Or should any good mechanic be able to do it?
