Wow, This is awsome, Thank you so much for the help. Where I live I am surrounded by chevy car guys, and my neighbor is a car guy only. I told him that I love the trucks as much as he love cars. he wants hp for speed we want it for pull power. Nothing like hearing the old gear box of a truck under load. . I got this 65 for a ...are you ready for this....$100.00 that is it. It is unmolested, never altered, all original with original tires and wheels including the spare. No rust, some dings but hey it was used on the farm. The owner used it the first 10 years as his main truck. They traveled in it, camped out of it, then it was used on the farm and surprisingly not all beat to pieces. I posted a couple of photos on my album. It has and was always parked in a lean toon attached to a barn. It is covered in Barn dust, untouched.
I have a few posted on my sight in the album. It is has never been restored. with about 1" of barn dust on it. The guy i got it from was 93, he parked it because he could no longer steer it and shift at the same time. i gave a whopping $100.00 for it.
So after sometime looking at the brakes I find out both the rear drums don't have any parts in them besides the cyl
Rear brake drums and internal parts are the same: 1964/67 F100. 1968 and later is different, as the rear brakes are 11" x 2 1/4" instead of 11" x 1 3/4" used 1964/67.
I guess this guy was only interested in all the information so he could pretend like he knew all about Ford trucks and sell this "barn find" on ebay...
I started a thread called new and thought I was on that one the problem I was having is that the truck would pull to the right when stopping but now that I found out the rear brakes were gone and the LF adjuster is broke that was probably the reason it was pulling
