Identifying a rear end
I used the bed for my project and have since scrapped the frame, but Im trying to sell the rear end, but need to identify it first. The guy I got it from told me it was from a late 70s 1 ton ford. He also told me that it was limited slip.
Can anyone identify this rear end for me?

According to the BOM, it's a Dana 70 with open 3.73 gears from a 1974-75 F-250 Club Cab / F-350 Super Cab. It is listed on page 106 (paper) or page 112 (PDF) of this Dana reference manual: http://www2.dana.com/pdf/X510-

I know it was an f350 super cab so that is good to narrow down the year too.
Any clue what it might be worth as it sits there in the picture?
On a side note, just for my information... I always thought that (when completely off the ground) when you rotate one tire forward and the other tire spins backward, thats an open diff. If you spin one forward and the other one spins the same way, this is limited slip. Is this correct or not always?

LS issue.. you are correct - an open diff's wheels will spin opposite of each other.
