I haven't had a problem with my truck but I like my music loud and might upgrade just for better sound quality.

For ~ $140 I got great speakers that sound awesome and will last. It says they are not for the rear but I talked to a tech there and all I had to do was shim them out away from the inner panel. I just cut the screen out of the old speaker and shimmed them out about 1/8" or so. Careful with the bolt behind the rear ( if SCrew) door handle, both sides had the clip you thread that bolt back into fell into the bottom of the door. They are still there... The door closes fine w/o them in there and appears there are no issues w/o them.

Also be careful with the adapter wires, I bent a prong over rendering it useless in the connector so I had to order another set. They are small and fragile so use caution when connecting them.
do the RF add some bass to the music? I was used to my car that had 2 -12" MTX subs in the trunk when I got my truck and kind of miss the bass. I know it won't be as much as subs but I was wondering if it helped much if any.

My driver side rear speaker went to a crackle... I told the dealership and he ordered a replacement right away and swapped it in on the oil change the following week.

Let us know how the RF speakers turn out after you get this done. My Alpines did not improve the bass any, but the highs are super crisp and I can now crank the stereo up as loud as it can go and still not have any distortion. I think the oem speakers were a measly 20w or something pathetic like that. My Alpines are 230w peak & 75w RMS (I'm not a stereo enthusiast) do I don't know what that entirely means but I do know it was a huge improvement over stock.

I can't really give an honest reply to that. I already have two RF, tens and a 300w amp pushing them
In my Scab. But volume certainly doesn't need to be up at all with subs added.

Has anyone had an issue with any door panels vibrating from the stock speakers? I have that problem on the drivers side so I took my truck in and they said the speaker was blown. Which was odd because Ive had blown speakers before and Im pretty sure it wasnt the speaker and it was a loose door panel and I told them that. So they replaced the speaker and the problem still is there. I havent had time to go back and sit all day at the dealer.
