Alright guys have some questions about doing a lift swap. Depending on how things turn out I may be swapping my stock suspension for a 6 inch lift. But what I am needing to know is what all will.I need to pull off my truck to give him to make sure he has everything needed and also what all will I need from him to make it all work? Also I have a e99 and the other truck is a late model so will these even work on both trucks. Last question for now is there any special tools needed to do the job. If anyone has any better information that I will need to know please fill me in.....thank you...josh byerly
I'm not sure about the early 99 part. You will need to remove the springs, and track bar bracket off the frame(lift has drop track bar bracket) also the pitman arm on the lifted truck should be a drop arm.If the trucks have a center bearing for the drive shaft, there will be a spacer to lower the bearing that will come off the lifted truck and go on yours. Also the brake lines may be longer on the lifted truck. The brake lines on the e99 may be different, I don't know. Others here may know more if there is any more e99 issues. Most likely you both will need new ubolts for the springs. Ubolts can be custom made at any spring shop for cheap. I almost forgot you will need to swap shocks also.
