6" Lift
What other parts do I need to get? I know I need new shocks for starters, but what about: brake lines, e-brake lines, do I need to get longer ones, or are the stock ones long enough. Is there anything else I have to do to keep the suspension all in line, like any drop brackets, or beef up anything?
I was hoping to just get either hangers, or angled blocks (to keep drive shafts in line) to achieve the total of 6" I want.
Thanks for your input.
Cheers,
Marty
You are going to need steering corrections, that will include a drop pitman arm, and you will have to re-locate the trac bar as well. Since you have mild springs and assuming that you still have a front sway bar, you will also need lomger links to connect these.
YOur brake lines are alright, but they will have to be removed from the brackets and relocated. AFter, arket lines would be a nice upgrade at this time.
The rear driveshaft center support bearing will have to be modified and lowerd to kep the rear angle under control.
6 inches will bring the need for larger rubber and this will probably putting you in the market for a gear ratio change.
Address your steering and consider a different method to lift the rear. You already have blocks back there, and stacking blocks is never a great idea. Too much axle wrap, and it is just plain tacky.
Spend a little extra effort to lift you rig properly with well engineered components.
It will save you time and frusteration on the long run.
