The bottom end shifting (at take off) of my truck s?/ks. Tried everything to correct but nothing seems to work, so I guess I'll try a chip of some kind.
At present, I can take off at a stand still and in about one second of moving I get a "thump" from the transmission. It appears to be trying to shift before it needs to.....which creates a "thump" that I can feel....almost like a rearend problem. (It isn't the rearend).
If I take off aggressively the "thump" does not happen.
This leads me to believe that the shift software of the truck from the factory is set for "aggressive" driving.
I was wondering if a chip would help me to eliminate this problem or at least control it and based on this issue what would be the best chip for this.
I AM MORE CONCERNED WITH CONTROLING SHIFTING AND GETTING A SMOOTHER SHIFTING TRANSMISSION THAN I AM WITH POWER.
My transmission has been replaced once before with about 6 or 7 "yokes". in about as many years.
Thanks,
If you want to tailor shifting or tire size/gear ratio to your exact needs, go with the Superchips Microtuner. If you want the most HP, go with a Diablo.
