Had a question on the Jeraco Cap if anyone out there has one. I was looking into a Cap for my second F250 this year, and was wondering if anyone had any experience with the Jeraco Caps. I had an Astro on my truck that was just totalled, and I won't go back there. I don't think it was the Cap as much as the installation, but they are the only certified place near me.
I like the A.R.E. Cap, but I have to drive 45 minutes to get to the place for installation. I have a Jeraco dealer within 10 minutes of my house. I figured if anything went wrong with the Cap, I could stop by there a lot easier then the A.R.E. place.
I have a Jeraco cap on my F-350 1999 PSD. I like it a lot. It is four years old and has stood up very well. It fits well and the front is contoured to the cab. The one I have is the higher one that stands about 5" taller than the cab, the high rise deluxe I think it is called. You can't imagine how handy that little extra room is. I have put several pieces of furniture and other things in that in a cap, level with the cab, would not fit. If you want a pic just let me know and I can email you a few.
There ia a lear factory and a jeraco factory both about a half hour form our house. The one neighbor is very fussy and thinks he alway buy the best. He had a lear before and now went with a jeraco. He likes it better and said it was about $300 less. I didnt really look at it to close because its on a new style dogg, but it seems to fit pretty good.
