66 f100
My 66 has a newer carb on it, I think it is a carter made for motorcraft. It has a number on it 7389S. Can anyone get me a part number to buy a rebuilt one or point me towards a rebuild kit. Any and all information is appreciated.

Without the tag, it's impossible to know what the carb is from, since 7389S is not a Ford carb ID tag number.
Take that number to NAPA or to an indie autoparts store, maybe they can help, as I cannot.
200/250's came with Carter carbs. I read thru the 1973/77 Passenger Car 200/250 carb application charts, there is no ref to that number you posted. Only the carb tag numbers are listed: 1975 example: D5DE-EA

and so are unaware...1965/66 F100/250 2WD Styleside, 1966 F100 4WD Styleside were available with optional upper side mouldings, which are anodized aluminum.
The anodizing fades away over time, or peeps use chrome polish on it, a big NO NO because it scratches the anodizing.
When the anodizing fades away, the mouldings (and other anodized parts-see following) take on a greyish hue.
Custom Cabs have stainless steel windshield reveal mouldings, chrome steel Custom Cab nameplates on the doors.
Front fender and grille emblems are also chromed steel. 1964/66 Custom Cab taillamp bezels are anodized aluminum as are the Custom/Standard Cab parklamp bezels.
1965/66: The upper grille panel has chromed steel FORD letters. 1962/66 Custom Cab grilles are also anodized aluminum.
Custom Cabs came with stainless steel hubcaps. 1966: Stainless steel 15" wheel covers were available as an option for the first time.

The Walker carb kit is not a Ford/Motorcraft carb kit, so I have no clue if it's correct. These "gypo" kits are usually universal "fitz-alls." May not have all the parts that the Motorcraft kit does.
And, you also have to consider if the carb was originally installed on a sold new in CA vehicle, and/or was a high altitude version.
Look at the very base of the carb, see if there's a Ford ID number stamped there. This was done in the 1960's, but later on, FoMoCo began to discontinue this practice.

It seems awkward, but whenever you "insert a picture" to one of these threads, the forum is looking for the picture somewhere on the web (which is always available) rather than from somewhere on your hard drive (which isn't always available).

There are only one or two general pics of this carb in the parts catalog. There is nothing I can do for you without the FoMoCo carb ID tag number. Nothing.
Sorry.
I HATE SWAPS, you wanna know why? Peeps make changes, do not record what the parts come from, so when something breaks, either they or clueless subsequent owners waltz into the parts dept, lay a bunch of greasy parts on the counter, then ask: "What are these from?"
35 years at the parts counter, I've been thru this scenario dozens of times.
I like the fact this one has the auto choke and if I replace this carb I promise to write it down and put it with the title.
