so I took somebody's advice(sorry, I can't remember who) and bought a fuel/water separator from walmart and was all ready to hook it up as extra insurance before the electric pump when I noticed these little tiny letters on the filter that say"do not use with diesel engines". After digging and burning and digging some more, I can't find a filter to fit the head that does not say that. Soooo, my question is, who was it who did that and what brand was it. The one I got is a Marpac 10 micron.
Tractor supply carries them if there is one near you. I think the brand they carry is Goldenrod?
Where in walmart did you find a fuel water separator? I'm guessing in the boating section, so it would be meant for gassers only. Walmart is a good place to buy oil for our trucks, and cheap interior stuff (stink tree's, seat covers etc...) but NOT a good place to buy any real parts.
I'd like to say I gave it a lot of thought, but honestly I couldn't get the damn water separator off the original filter and this was an easy alternative.
Ha, I found it!! I knew I wasn't hallucinating, at least not about this. So, Crazy2, how did you get this to work on a diesel?
