Just ordered a 2012 f-150 with max tow to pull my 27 ft TT. The rv dealer recomended adding the sway control to the wdh set-up. Will it be benificial as the f-150 has the trailer sway control system?

May want to try without first, but you will find multiple negative comments about Ford's integral sway control on FTE. Quite a few folks turn it off.
If I were to add, a friction sway control would not be my first choice, as I think several model hitches, such as those with dual cams, do a better job. Hitches such as the Hensley Arrow and comparable do an incredible job of eliminating sway, but at a considerable price.
Of course, how much and how far you are going to tow comes into play here. Many folks envision towing much more often than they actually end up doing. The more time I were spending on the road, the more emphasis I would place on the hitch. I think it is excellent you are asking this question now rather than later!
