f150 axle swap

I am hoping to start on a solid axle swap on my 1996 f150. I am wanting to run leafs is the front instead of the coils and 35s to 38s max. I also want to swap the rear because of the 3.07 gear ratio. What axles would be the best for my ford?

So you pretty much want to run 3/4 ton running gear under your truck?
I would run a sterling 10.25 rear end, and find whatever ratio rear end you desire. For the front, if all the bigger you want to run is 38" tires, I would get a Dana 44 HD so that you have an 8 lug pattern front and back. You won't need a Dana 60 front for your application, unless you really want to fork over the cash for the tougher axle. But my F250 gets beat pretty hard off road with 35"x15.5" Super Swampers and I've never had a problem with the Dana 44 HD front end. I know guys that run 40" tires on theirs and don't have any issues either. I also used a front end from a high boy in my truck which is a low pinion as opposed to a high pinion.

You can also get a coil spring Dana 44 and convert to 8 lug. Just throwing that out there.

That is a good point. And it's probably an easier route than getting rid of the coil springs.
