I have no idea of why SOMEONE would do that?! (Cookie) Is it to make it harder to find information or so we ask more questions to keep the forum alive?
Thanks for the drawing Ken,i got all windows working and the passenger rear door lock working ,think i had more then one problem, bad wire connection in driver side wire bundle and the door lock was hard to move by hand, sprayed with wd 40 and now working ,still have problem with driver rear door, will hit this later, thanks again guys.
Sweet! yep I had to soak mine in wd40. matter of fact i soaked the lock assembly too. not sure if OEM lock poppers are available still but my rear drivers side is really weak. some times have to hit it 2 or 3 times to get it to unlock. but i gotta think any lock popper would work.
I had the same problem as well. There is a pigtail that plugs into the bottom of the actuator. I unplugged mine and cleaned the contact area and they worked just fine. Not sure this will solve the problem in every case though. The aftermarket actuators are available through O'Reillys, Autozone, Advance, and I'm sure most other parts stores.
The problem you may run into is that most of them only show the ones for the front doors but if they will dig a little the back ones are listed as well. Most of the old school parts guys are a thing of the past and if it's not right on the screen then you will most likely get the "we don't carry it" answer.
On that note, and I'm sure most of us know, you can go onto their websites and look the parts up yourself. It's always better to go in armed with the part number yourself to see if they match. Just an FYI.
OK guys, all door locks and windows working ,checked the driver side lock and found the connector on motor was completely loose, guess it has been like this ever since i have had it, plugged it back in and it worked fine.First time everthing has worked, couldnt have done it without all the help i have had. Again thanks. JIM
