try and get codes scanned
Then pull egr valve see if its stuck open or any sign of coolant in there
Also if it wont do a cyclinder balance test for injectors another option is to Pull the fuse for fuel pump and FICM fuse
then pull cover off upper fuel bowel and watch for bubbles as someone cranks over the starter
if it has bubbles theres either a Bad Injector or cracked head not to common this last one

Great tip on the injector, that makes complete sense now that you say it. when i can i will check everything out and report back.
