No acceleration - stalling when warm.

I have no acceleration when cold motor needs to be over 100 degrees for it to run correctly. Also it will stall, if I am driving at a fast speed the water in fuel light will come followed by the glow plug light. The truck seems to restart.

I purchased a cell phone obdII scanner and check the codes, no codes. I check the battery and FICM voltage both good. No missing on any cylinders ither.

What do I need to look for?

So some of these smart phones will monitor alot IDK anything about them

But more info like PM as in Oil Change.OEM filters?? Last fuel Filter change

Whats ICP and IPR% doing during the time it runs bad

Could be a FICM problem I know you you have good voltage but that only Half of the storey

I think you have a couple things going on
1. cold run issue
2. Hot run issue (thinking maybe A HPO issue)

Honestly I am Guessing at all of this so Get a Good Code scanner going

If the truck Stalled it set codes you just need a better code reader to see them. Plus Odds are the codes it would set from a stall Isnt your problem its just the Fact that there present but you cant see them. Go to autoparts store and they scan for free so if you get a hit there

I have changed fuel and oil filter in the last month. They were both motor craft parts.

Try this thread pics of Both styles you want the Shorter Oil Filter Cap

WRONG OIL FILTER CAP CAUSING UNFILTERED OIL TO TAKE OUT THE IPR WITHPICS OF BOTH STYLE CAPS

Well those numbers look good for a Cold Idel I assume

Take those readings at
KOEO
Low Idel with an ECT of 190* in Park
High Idel (2500) ECT (190*) in park

Did you determine that you have the right Oil Filter CAP?????

And did you check the FICM Volts at a Cold Startup??

I have checked the voltage when the motor was cold and it stayed in the 48 volt range. The oil cap is the correct one, I have the shorter cap. My last 7.3 international diesel acted very similar to this one when it was cold, the only difference was it would accelerate slowly when it was cold. This one has zero acceleration when the motor is below 100 degrees.
