AC Compressor repair 2001
Hi. When replacing the AC compressor on a 2001 do you normally just flush the system and replace the compressor and orface tube or do you buy the whole kit and replace everything? THanks

Not sure but I had work done on my truck last May, only the compressor and tube were replaced. No AC now. A mechanic looked at my truck and pulled out the orfrace tube, it has junk all over it, pretty sure the compressor is gone again. I have talked to three mechanics who all said they buy the compressor "kit" and replace all the items or the system will fail. I am over the miles on the warranty through the dealership. My feeling though is if it standard procedure to replace certain items, which they did not do, they need to fix my truck. I called the service department on Friday and they have not called me back. Going to a mangager on Monday.
