fuel regulator
replaced both pumps in my 90 f150. replaced them about 80,000 miles ago, had 100,000 miles on it then, and failed to replace the regulator, it went within a month. figured it might be a good idea to replace it with having new pumps. besides the regulator i put in 80,000 ago was a cheap one from checker. looking at a Standard regulator. there about $65.00 for the 4.9 engine. i could always keep my old one in case, ofcourse i dont know how good it is to keep one around thats not being used, might dry out. i know a lot of the newer vechs come with the regulator on the pump. any way thoughts on this, cheap insurance. and why is the 4.9 regulator so much more than the 5.0 or any other regulator.
