Fuel Pressure Regulator O-Ring?

When you replace it are you lubing it up before installing the regulator?
I lube the o-ring with trans fluid before I install the regulator, if not you will shave some material off the o-ring while putting it in the fuel rail.
Also check to make sure there are no cracks in the fuel rail where the regulator goes in > I have seen that before.
