Coolant pressure gauge

I bought a swimming pool gauge, $3.49, and plan to install it. Where would be the best place. I was thinking to put it on the return 3/8 line from the rad or on my coolant filter, I have 2 inlets and 2 outlets, so 2 are not used.

If I put it in line with coolant, will it read proper pressure?

That sound like a great idea. Is the pressure constant though out the cooling system? I mean a pressure gauge at the coolant filter would be a great spot. It already has a threaded port and all.
Any thoughts?
