Exclamation 6.4L Not Running right...

Got an 08 F250 6.4 that i cant get the check engine light to stay off. It keeps pulling the code P02263 ....

Im new to this truck and these 6.4l motors,

It has a mini maxx programmer on it and the cat and dpf have been removed. Someone said that the EGR is blocked and that is whats causing the problems. The programmer says it blocks off the EGR. So that shouldnt be the problem.
The truck runs alright. Sometimes better then others, i feel like the turbos are over working sometimes, because they never drop below like 7psi even when off the gas. When i stop they drop to zero, but never while driving. But every now and again it will run fine but the check engine light stays on... Changed map sensor and tried a couple little things...

Out of ideas and have no idea what my next move should be. Any help ideas, or hints??

Hello PeachState and welcome to FTE.

You need to ask the question in the 6.4L Power Stroke engine forum.

I do know the P2663 is not an EGR code, it is a turbocharger code, but the 6.4L experts can help you sort out the particulars. Good luck

P2263 deals with the turbo charger performance. It is suppose to show the light on constant.

You either have a problem with the programmer or a turbo charger problem. An overboost condition it would appear.

Turbo charger out of tolerance comes to mind.

How high is you're boost while accelerating?
Maybe the actuator is sticking.

Also it could be that you ended up with an egr tune. Egr tunes will have higher boost, usually.

I run the new spartan 275 tune, and the truck runs better than I could imagine.

3-6 lbs of boost down the highway, instead of the 20 before lol.

Mileage up, again.

This 6.4 might be the most fuel effecient powerstroke i've had, and my 7.3 wasn't even a crew cab.
