speed sensor snapped

I was changing out the rear tow/haul speed sensor on my 2005 F250 on top of the tranny and it snapped leaving the stem of the sensor in the tranny!! Any way to retrieve the stem from the tranny w/o dropping the tranny? Thinking of drilling a hole thru the floor if need be. Truck has 100K and it rot in my driveway.

Any help is much appreciated!!

On my 04 there is an access panel under rug on drivers side hump, not sure if you will be able to reach the sensor or not, but there should be a hole there.

The other thing I would do is spray a little bit of WD-40 on the sensor and twist it back and forth, let it sit and work in, I replaced that one on my 4R100 not a fun spot.

Wish I could spin it back and forth. Nothing to grab on to unfortunately. I did fill it with WD40. I'll probably drill through the floor so I can get at it from above.

Thanks for the response. Any advice can only help
