400m timing specs?

400m timing specs?

where is it supposed to be at right now? i have it on 10 degrees
is that right? would i hurt it if i kept it there?
bone stock 400m

If it doesnt ping and it starts well (very important) and runs fine is probably OK.

What do you mean "ping"?
like if it sounds that its struggling to stay on?
the rpms are pretty low when its in neutral or when i come to a stop
oh and it does start pretty hard, like it struggles to stay on but i have a feeling that its a vacuum hose problem

pinging is commonly called detonation, but after I read a post a while back that had two good links on detonation/pre-ignition etc (in stickies by the way-worth a look), I have revised that but for now it's probably still enough in this case. It's a "knocking" noise that you usually encounter when you either have too much advance or you lug the engine down low in the revs in too tall a gear/uphill with a load etc. sounds a little like a deisel knock
