If you are buying a tuner just for the gas mileage than you are missing out on the rest of the fun of buying one. It also makes the truck more fun to drive!!

I have kept records since my 2011 was new- about 37k. I tend to change tunes occasionally 93 T/H 87 T/H and back to stock... When you drive nice - I think that the 93 pulls a little better gas milage - but I don't drive nice - much... I will say in town with more hard starts and such my mileage tends to decrease.

Also - you can really tell the difference in the way the truck drives & shifts & accelerates with the tunes..

All & All - I am very happy and Mike does a great job of customer service.

So - just spend the money - make the truck drive like it should - don't overthink it....

I agree!

but as a side note, I can get up to 17.6 mpg in my V10 van, driving nicely at speed limits with cruise control USING the 93 octane performance tune from Mike.

I cannot remember exactly but within the first month maybe 2500 miles - so yea it new. Thanks - it's a great truck - being old & single allows a few privileges.
Hey - you can't go wrong with Mike - he is a good businessman - backs up his work - doesn't leave ya hanging after the purchase.
Good luck!

Mike Butler runs 5-Star - The Website is:

5 Star Tuning | Custom Dynomemeter Chassis Tuning Products and Services

I am not the expert but the chip & tuner usually do the same thing - I had a chip one my 2001 for a while but the tuner that I have now - plugs in temporarily and allows several different programs that I can choose from & then take back to stock if I want...
