Hi guys , vibration is coming from somewhere in drivetrain. I haven't got a clue where it is. It goes away under acceleration , but comes back once you ease off of the loud pedal. It might be the carrier bearing. I'm guessing. If it is where do I get a good one.
Thanks bro! I've been thinking its my problem aswell, ince i've tried EVERYTHING but a new ZF6. HAve a thread, "wind thru a pipe sound", which, i was hoping was from the foil delete but nope, along with a turbo problem. Installed a new one, problem still exist...(that was expensive..haha). Gonna throw a carrier bearing on, and driveline rebalance, doesnt sound too expensive.
Does the "noise" seem to be with pedal applied as well, in that rpm band? Because mine does...
when you are doing that, make sure to lube the spline shaft and shim the carrier bearing if needed.
went through the same issues when i first got old green (would shutter from take off, and vibrate until ~20mph). thought it was tires, then calipers, then shocks, then carrier bearing, then u-joints. shimming the carrier bearing and lubing the shaft solved it. that was ~7 years ago.

keep an eye on the seals where the pinion shaft come out of the rear axle and conects to the drive shaft. I had a u-joint going out and did not know it until the vibrations were so bad it compromised the seal and was leaking (where did that oil come from that was on the driveway????).
I climbed under it. I couldn't feel any issues of slop in the rear driveshaft. I'm so puzzled here. I'm thinking of taking it to a garage. Or maybe have tires rebalanced.

try what i said first. won't cost much and take maybe an hour of your time. i used grease gun in a can which made it super easy.

Greasing the spline shaft may be the answer.
Do you have a jack and jack stands to be able to get both back wheel off of the ground and put the gear in nuetral and then see if there is some play in the shaft/u-joints... (use jack stands)
