We'll hopefully al will have one can my old one be installed backwards or I have another truck that I could pull it from but that truck runs and I'd hate to have to steal vital parts off of that if I don't have too

I have to admit that I don't know what difference the difference in teeth makes, but it appears that they should both bolt up to some of the same flywheels.

The inside diameter of the new ring gear is 5/16s of an inch smaller there's no way I would be able to get this one on

V8's with 10" clutches use a 112-tooth ring gear. Since both 6's and 8's use the same starter, the V8 ring gear must be the same OD as the 112-T 6-banger ring gear. The inside diameter may be different, but it's possible the 6-cyl flywheel could be machined to use the V8 piece?

I think it could be possible if I had to go that route although that is quite a bit to remove
