Just had mail from Joblot, they also can't deliver them anymore.
Somewhere there has to be one with my name on it. I found a store that can get one but there price is ridiculous.
Could someone help me with making a call?
I got the info that a while ago someone had a few of these ring gears in his stock. But I can't find any email contact, only a phone number.
This would be the man in question:

I'll call him for you later this morning when they are open.
I placed the call this morning. Al was out but his wife took the info and will have him call me when he gets in.
Looking at the old ring gear, if you can't find one right away you may be able to flip it around and let the starter engage the other side where the teeth are still good for a temporary solution.

Thx a million for helping me ,i greatly appreciate it Let's hope he will have one.
And normally I would think about turning it over but here's the problem.
When we took everything apart it turned out that the starter was just loose , and because of that the starter damaged the ring gear all around sadly enough.(and the damage is pretty extensive)
I did find replacement gear but have not ordered. Can someone tell me how it is installed? In the picture, I do not see any bolt holes. The shop manual does not show either. I will appreciate prompt response.
If it's like mine (a sepperate ring) then you have to heat up the ring until it reaches a certain temperature that it expands a bit and the ntap it off. Same to place new one.
For the people that where following my problem, I ordered 2 brand new 114 tooth ring gears for my ford 226!
Again thx to BACAGrizz for calling Al's!
Hi sorry to bring back an old thread but I have a 1948 ford f1 with the 226 and ordered a ring gear from al to come to find out I have a 112 tooth ring gear and not the 114 that I believe I am supposed too is it possible that ford may have used a g series flywheel and ring gear on my h series motor due to the research I have done is that they had a 112 tooth ringgear

OK, from the parts book, 48-51 had the 114 tooth ring, BUT in 48-49 they also had the 112 tooth ring. The 112 tooth has a very different part # from the 112 tooth in the V8.
It looks like the difference is whether you have a 10" or 11" clutch. Do you know which you have? What trans do you have? Usually the 11" only comes with the HD trannies in F-1's.
