S/S vs S/D muffler

ok i am in the process of purchasing a muffler and i was wondering if it matters (performance wise if any) if the muffer is single in/dual out or single in/single out? Also this would be for the magnaflow muffler thats going on my 97 f150 4.6. My exhaust will be exiting out the side so it will be easier to run one pipe from the exhaust with dual tips. Thanks for help

Performance wise I wouldn't expect there to be any difference. It might sound different though.

S/S vs S/D muffler

A dual out muffler is usually a bit louder than a single out and has a more noticable 'rumble' to it. But if you're gonna be doing it yourself it would be a lot easier just running one pipe out to where you want it.
