Hey guys, I recently took my "new bed's" fenders off to swap my old ones back onto this new box. I am going to paint the bed, which is white, to match the rest of the truck, which is blue. I didn't care about an exact color match, just something close, but that's before I made it to the parts store. All they have now are these tiny freakin 8oz match paint cans. I cant find a full size can that looks remotely close anymore. Figure If I am going to spend 7 bucks on one of the 8oz cans, might as well make it the right color!
I looked at the build sheet from ford for my truck, since I do not have the sticker inside the door jamb anymore. My exterior color is "medium bright metallic blue", but the build sheet did not provide the paint code for it. Does anyone know what the paint code for this is?
You could try to remove the fuel tank filler door, and take that down to the store and try to match it up that way. Also check online at: Blue Ford Trucks at PaintRef.com
Scroll down to 1982 and pick your color. Probably code 3P.
I hope that helps.

Thanks for the link! That's great stuff right there! Looks like 3P is the winner! I had taken the fuel door down, couldnt find the exact match though, it was right in between the two closest shades. This should really help me to find the right color Reps sent!
Here's a picture of the truck, the white bed, white fender, blue fender:
