You know my Sequoia gets maybe 14 driving 75-80 mph...when I slow down to 70 it jumps to around 18. I am sure if you keep these trucks at 65 to 70 you will see 18 or better...I personally have this bad habit of doing 75+ all the time it is like my cruise control speed. Maybe it's from riding the motorcycle all the time.
Either way you look at it...you really didn't buy this truck for awesome milage...right?
what size tire does Ford put on the 20'' wheels?... My best i've seen is around 18 on the highway (running 65-70). My truck has 3.55's and 18'' wheels... I dunno why but lately my mileage is dropped 2-3mpg's (around town and highway)...
Something else that kinda bothered me was the fact that it did a regen on the way there and one on the way back, then when I filled it up with 47 mte it did another. Thats 3 regens in 525 miles kinda seems like a lot to me but I dont know.

You may have gotten some bad fuel. Low cetane means more soot formation and more frequent regens, lower mpg.
