I guess I'll have to change my driving style so I don't spend one entire paycheck on gas.
yeah....one thing....over the weekend i towed a little over a ton and it didn't change my MPG at all....they actually went up...i've been getting 14....most of my trips are 10 to 12 miles....over the weekend i went a couple hours north and i got .5 MPG better and i had a trailer and my 4 wheeler on the back.....that was good to see because it means i'll do much better on a trip than my 14 i'm getting around town...
Yeah it depends ranges from 12 to 16 or more in the city and 17-20 on the highway it depends on gears and if you drive with a heavy foot currently here they are rated at 16 city 23 highway but usually you get a bit less than what the say so
I've got an '05 FX4 Super Crew with with 5.4L and I drive it about 50 miles highway each way for work for about 100 mi per day. I get about 15mpg on the highway. I've taken it on a couple trips north with a 5x8 trailer with my ATV and still get about the same, maybe a mile per gallon less. Like alot of people say here, unless you're really loaded it shouldn't change much. I think these tanks pull easy!!
I have three week old 07 Supercrew Lariat 5.4L. I just completed a 350 mile round trip consisting of approximately 100 'town' miles...the rest on the road with a few intersections here and there. I got 20.4 mpg from my driveway back to my driveway. Today, I pulled my smaller boat fishing...approx 2400lbs. I came to 58 mph, put the cruise on, zeroed the computer, and averaged a distance of fifteen miles at 14.3 mpg. A one week average through town to work gave me 19.3 mpg overall.
