I have a 2011 F250, my front end is loose but that might just be how the truck is. I have not had the death wobble yet but looking to install a steering dampener and shocks just to be safe. I have looked at the videos posted on this subject. Is this really a big issue? I see it happens on a lot of different model years. Why would ford not address this seems to be a safety issue. We have ford people on this site as well as others. There are TSB's so they know there is an Issue so why not redesign the front end? Is this front end the best for weight handling? I have seen GM trucks on the side of the road with a front tire missing it fell off while driving. I called Bilstein and asked the tech about the death wobble. He just kinda chuckled and said that's a Ford suspension for you. He claimed it was a common problem. So I ask again. What possible reason is there for not redesigning the front end?

Thanks
I've owned various years and model ford trucks... they are by far what i will stick with from now on. couple of dodges, and i think a chev or two. Not once have i experienced this death wobble on any of them.
Im pretty sure death wobble is a maintenance issue that can be compounded by modifications. I have never heard of a truck comming off the lot and going into death wobble on a test drive.
so maybe the ford design lets you know it needs attention when its worn, not a big deal to me, just keep up on the maint.
