Bad Engine Noise

Hey guys, so recently I've ran into this noise under the hood and not sure what it is. There was always an exhaust leak that sounded like it was escaping from the doughnut and now this!? I do know that this only sounds off when the engine has been running for a while or when i give it a lot of gas. It does sound like a ticking more than a "pfffttt" Ideas? 78 f250 7.5 - YouTube

I assume you are referring to the ticking sound.

Seems RPM related so I'd take a look at the valve train. Could have a loose rocker, a lazy lifter, or a weak valve spring.

bought a 78 f350 engine smoked had a noise on pass side thought it was a lifter but i was changing engine anyway took off exhaust pipe and looked down pipe. when they welded drop pipe to y pipe they only cut a 3/4 inch hole so 4 pistons were pushing through the 3/4 inch hole the truck only 87000 so shouldnt have been smoking yet.
