Ford 400 block problem

Ford 400 block problem
I removed my intake manifold to replace the leaking gasket and saw this hole at the end of my block right below the distributor. This is a reman'd block that is about 4 years old and has about 20,000 miles on it. The hole looks like something punched through it as it is not smooth. Anyone know what this could be from or if it is causing problems? I had a timing chain break on this engine and am wondering if that caused the hole. Please help!

Even the third hole that's kind of on the side wall farthest up in the picture? I know the two perfectly round holes are supposed to be there, but the third hole on the wall isn't round and its actually pretty sharp.

normal stuff.
like mentioned hit with grinder if you tear it down and prep for overhaul.
their are several places that can be touched up on with a grinder if you start lookin at these blocks. anything you can do to help get oil back into the oilpan as quick as possible is a good thing on the drain holes.

x2 on all comments. took much of the casting surface off and rough polished my valley and also opened up the oil drain holes and all but removed the little dams on each end. struggling to put photo on here but may be in my profile for a look. That photo shows the oil hole you mention (if it worked) LOL.
