Gidday All,
Ive just stripped my 302 Cleveland. Under the inlet manifold, next to the dizzie(above the cam), there is a hole in the block wall going through to the timing chain chamber. In the time Ive had my F100 Ive never noticed any metal in the oil. Does anybody know what could have caused this? Would it have been done intentionally for any reason? Is it likely to cause any problems?
If anybody can shed any light on this it would be appreciated. The hole is about an inch in diameter.
Thanks
Kel
