Unknown Power Steering Hose
I already posted this under steering but thought it might get more looks here. Ok so 1977 F150 4wd v8. Was told it was a 351C, then figured it probably is actually a 351M since the actual 351Cs weren't put in after 1974. Bottom line, I got a new power steering pressure line from Autozone, and it didn't fit. Bolt on pump end was too small, and the control valve end was a female (nut) on the new one but the old one is a male. Took it back, got one from LMC. Same deal. Also checked w/ Napa. I'm frustrated. Help.
P.S. I got some numbers off the old hose, and I also took pics of the old and new hoses but I'm awful w/ technology and can't get them up. Sorry.
P.P.S. Just did a search for the # I got off the crimp from the control valve end of the old hose (ED D8TA 3A719 DA). D8TA 3A719 DA came up on rockauto.com as a 1978 F-250 and 1979 F-150 pressure line. FRANKENTRUCK?!

According to the Ford parts catalog, ED D8TA 3A719 DA is the pressure hose for a 78-79 F100-350 2WD before 5/01/79
That engineering number crosses over to P/N D8TZ-3A719-C
