If it's applied properly it will drain normally. If you drill holes you'd be drilling through the bed itself.

I have to say, don't get the drop in liner. Get line-x or a bed rug. Best options out there. The line x has color choices and an option for extra UV protection. The texture is not customize able unless they have recently changed it.

The texture is nice, not too abrasive, not smooth, just a nice material for a truck bed. If you want something more refined, look at the bedrug. It's cool, just not for me.

Either way, your drainage and durability will be fantastic and makes your truck bed worry free.

On a side note, line x now has a floor coating service where they will spray your garage floor, patio, or anywhere else you would like it. Not the same product as the pickup material but still a quality line x product that is beautiful. Guy in my neighborhood had his garage and front/patio and deck sprayed. I am gearing up to have it done myself. Check it out.

A spray in liner will outer perform a drop in liner in every type of usage I have had in my trucks. The Ford I just bought has a drop in that I will be abandoning in a few weeks for a LinX spray in. I have a friend that wants the drop in liner and I told him he could have it. So it won't be wasted.

Drop in's do rub the paint off your bed. They have cause static electricity build-up on my trucks before. This was the issue that caused me to get a LinX. I had a 90 gallon transfer tank in the bed and was getting a shock every time I touched the truck. It was from the dang bed liner. Drop in's trap moister between the liner and the bed. Stuff slides all over a drop in liner. Spray in liners just look so nice and hold up very well.

Yes. I have the factory liner and can't be happier. I have the Line-X on my Diamondback cover so I have seen both materials. I don't think you can go wrong either way. (Factory or Line-X, no more plastic drop-ins.)

I'm sorry...forgot to answer that. The place that does them in town drills 1 on each side (with permission). So I would ask the place to do it for you or pre-drill a couple of drainage holes.

Mine is normally covered but I have run without the cover at times. The factory spray does not seal all the gaps from what I remember.( I am out of town right now otherwise I would check) It still drains thru the seams by the cab, slowly, but drains. I don't recall it being any issue. There may be small puddles because of channels that are in the bed, but it all runs out when you start driving. It's not like putting in a pool liner if that is what are worried about.

ok sooo... apparently my request for the factory spray in liner was too late and its not happening. so i started looking into line x. i like. i went to the local place and got a quote. the guy was off his rocker. must not want business. he wanted 750 for under the rail, 8' bed, no tailgate!!!! !@#$%^&* dudes crazy. he told me prices went up yada yada yada.. so i called some places in my hometown (as im away on extended leave) and they both quoted me the same price of 485. one guy said he would drop 25 due to the tailgate step. not to mention the 750 guy was feeding me other BS about the product that the other two places straightened me out on. wow. sorry just venting.
