New Chip

I have a Super chip that I put in 8 years or so ago.I was wondering if I should replace with something newer.I know technology is always changing. My fuel mileage is down and may or may not help that. Thanks Carl

Let me just say this, 8 years ago people thought it was almost impossible to make 400-500rwhp with these engines.... Look whats going on now technology has come a long way

You cant go wrong with DP, Tony Wildman and Ive been hearing good things about PHP tunes too. It seems like every two days theres someone asking about a new tuners. Those are the three it always seems to come down to.... Im assuming you already have gauges too

Will not help.

The tuning on the chip doesn't just change (resulting in a perceived loss of mileage).

Paying out the nose for something different will likely not get you any better fuel economy regardless of where the tuning comes from. What it boils down to is that you'll take something out that probably runs just fine and then spend hundreds of dollars on something that does the same exact thing.

Good point cleatus, I seen tuner and got tunnel vision (so to speak)

You may want to check the normal things before you spend money, tire pressure, air filter, boost leaks, EBP sensor and tube, etc....

Don't have gauges but did not tune high. With fuel climbing I thought there might be something more advanced out there.
