351w idle speed
trying to figure out why my uncles 1990 f150wt (work truck model ) wont idle like it should . have checked for codes , nothing .( @ the ford garage ) went with new spark plugs and checked injectors and still wont idle right . cousin has a 302 and his has started doing the same thing .

wont idle down , runs at a fast engine speed .

It could be. Unplug the electrical connection to the IAC valve and if the engine slows down, that tells you the IAC valve is GOOD. I read that on old fuel injection. com.

I tried unplugging the IAC connection on mine and it idles waaaay down! It's like it's sleeping.

I think I might wire in a switch for that...
