cab light knock out tool?

cab light knock out tool?
I want to pick up the knock out tool you all talk about for a cab light install. I have a step drill but if this other tool is better I will pick one up. But I am not sure on the size I have seen 1/2" and I have seen 7/8". Which one is it?

The tool you want is called a Greenlee Knockout Punch. You can rent one at any tool rental yard. The size you want is called 1/2" conduit, or 7/8", which is actual hole diameter. Just get the one that you crank down with a wrench. You don't need the fancy one with a driver.
Using that you will only need to drill a 3/8" hole for the punch bolt. Much less chips than drilling bigger holes.
